About
Sheri Dean Parmelee, MBA, PhD
Sheri has enjoyed inventing stories since she was a small girl. She was first introduced to the world of fiction when she and her mother walked three miles to the local library. Sheri was allowed to take out as many books as she could carry home. Of course, her eyes were bigger than her arms could manage, so she transferred the books, one at a time, to her mother as they trudged home.
Nancy Drew was an early favorite, though Sheri always wondered why Nancy and Ned never kissed. Carolyn Keene used to say that, once a girl wondered why they didn’t kiss, she was too old for Nancy Drew Mysteries, but the true romantic in Sheri always questioned their relationship. By the age of ten or eleven, Sheri was creating stories for her nearest and dearest friends, even though she did not begin writing fiction until many years later.
Life intervened, as it often does, with Sheri’s first book not being published until January 2024. The second came out in October 2024, and the third will be available by June 2025. This is only the beginning of the Prescott Family Chronicles, though other ideas are already coming to the storytelling surface. Sheri writes woman’s fiction, with a promise to her readers that her books will be free from profanity and sex. Instead, she hopes that readers will find her writing inspirational and the stories compelling.
